Admissions Requirements

Application Requirements for College of Engineering and Computer Science Applicants

  • Online pre-application for graduate admission to the College of Engineering and Computer Science

  • One official transcript (in a sealed envelope) from each college or university attended. In order to enroll in graduate classes, students must have obtained a baccalaureate or higher degree, prior to the start of the term for which the student is admitted, from an institution accredited by one of the six U.S. regional associations or from a recognized foreign institution.   • Graduate Record Examination scores (or General Management Admission Test scores, if required by the program) sent directly to UCF. School code: 5233.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language scores sent directly to UCF--if an applicant is from a country where English is not the official language or when an applicant's bachelor's degree is not from an accredited U.S. institution. School code: 5233.

  • Financial Statement with a letter indicating commitment (from your parents, government, or others) to financially support your education. Students who are admitted with full financial support do not need to verify their finances; however if your support does not constitute the full amount required to obtain an I-20, we will need a Financial Statement showing your ability to provide the remaining amount.

  • Letters of Recommendation

  • Immunization Form

  • Resume, goal statement, or other material, if required by the program. Please check your program in the catalog for additional requirements.

Admission to each program in the College of Engineering and Computer Science is limited by space availability. The degree of competition for space depends on the number and qualifications of those who apply. To increase the chance of admissions, prospective students should pre-apply well in advance of the pre-application deadline. Applicants who are selected for the online pre-application process will be invited to complete the formal application process. The college will pay the application processing fee for top candidates to the programs based on the online pre-application results.

Applicants interested in being considered for university fellowships, assistantships, and tuition waivers should apply early and make sure that their applications are complete, including all test scores and other program admission requirements.

The application and All supporting documents must be received by the Division of Graduate Studies by the stated application deadline.
