How
do I Apply?
Welcome to the College of Engineering and Computer Science
Prospective Students Information Pages! Prospective applicants
to the College of Engineering and Computer Science are
required to pre-apply to their program of interest. Admission
to each program in the College of Engineering and Computer
Science is limited by space availability. The degree
of competition for space depends on the number and qualifications
of those who apply. To increase the chance of admissions,
prospective students should pre-apply well in advance
of the pre-application deadline. Directions for the online
pre-application follow; please read through all the steps
before progressing to the online pre-application.
Let’s
Get Started
Step 1: Complete the Online CECS
Pre-Application.
You will need the following information in order
to complete the online pre-application form: Passport
or Social Security Card, test scores, GPA, address,
URL, Department Chair, email, and phone number of
the school you earned your highest degree from.
Step 2: Confirmation of receipt
of your pre-application will be emailed to you upon
submission of your completed preapplication.
Step 3: Decisions typically take
a minimum of 14 business days. .
If you have not heard from us within that time
period, please send an inquiry email to gradengr@mail.ucf.edu including
your full name as you entered it in the application,
your birth date, the term you have applied for,
and the date that you submitted your online pre-application.
The Admissions Committee will evaluate each submission
individually. If you are invited to apply, you
will be provided detailed instructions on the University
Admissions Process. We know that
you are excited about your application, and the
prospect of beginning your graduate study at the
University of Central Florida. Due to the large
number of inquiries we receive and the limited
time we have to process pre-application decisions,
we request you keep email correspondence to a minimum.
While we would love to respond to each and every
email request or notification we receive, doing
so lengthens the processing time for pre-applications.
To help us speed the process of evaluation, please
take advantage of the web resources available to
you, and email urgent inquiries only once and to
only one individual.
